Birmingham Metropolitan College (BMet) is a further and higher education college with 10 campuses distributed within Birmingham, England.

BMet offers full-time courses for school leavers including A Levels and vocational qualifications, full-time Access to Higher Education courses, part-time adult professional development, entry level and recreational courses as well as full and part-time degree level study.

Courses

  • Courses for school leavers: These courses are for 16-19 year olds. BMet offers courses at every level from entry to higher education, all designed to help you achieve your career goals. With courses on offer at BMet’s colleges, you can be sure there’s a college on your doorstep where you will find first-class facilities and learning opportunities.
  • Courses for 19+: Whether you’re looking to start an exciting new career, get a promotion at work or even start your own business, BMet offers a wide range of part-time courses that can help you realise your dreams. You’ll have access to their excellent facilities including well-equipped learning resource centres and state-of-the-art studios and workshops. What’s more, you’ll have access to their supportive and knowledgeable staff and a range of support that’ll help you back into education.
  • University Level Courses: BMet’s university level courses and apprenticeships are designed to break down the barriers of access to professional and higher level study. Offering lower fees, full or part-time study options, flexible entry requirements, and smaller class sizes.

Locations

  • Matthew Boulton College: specialises in business and professional services, health and social care, dentistry, creative and digital, employability and ESOL;
  • Sutton Coldfield College: specialises in art, performing arts, business and professional services, early years education, health and social care, sport, travel and tourism, uniformed services;
  • James Watt College: specialises in construction, engineering, games, media, health, social care and early years;
  • Erdington Skills Centre: full and part-time courses for young people and adults in bricklaying, plumbing, plastering, painting and decoration, as well as a range of maths and English courses.
