With around 24,000 students from 80 countries, Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study. It comprises two main campuses in Birmingham, with additional sites located throughout the city.

The university is made up of four faculties, each covering a range of subjects and specialisms. These include: Health, Education and Life Sciences; Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment; Business, Law and Social Sciences; and Arts, Design and Media.

Research

Almost 90 per cent of BCU’s research was judged to have delivered ‘outstanding’ or ‘very considerable’ external impact (Research Excellence Framework 2014).
