The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was founded in 1495, making it the fifth-oldest university in the UK. Aberdeen is consistently ranked among the top 160 universities in the world and the top 20 universities in the United Kingdom.
Undergraduate students are able to choose from almost 370 first degree courses, and postgraduates can undertake supervised research in all departments of the University and choose from over 120 taught Masters degrees. The university has a diverse community of more than 130 nationalities, with 14,000 students and 3,600 staff.
